Roark’s Rock Gym, the coal mine and the fossil-revival museum. Arrive through Oreburgh Gate.

Floaroma Town

The mountain dividing Sinnoh. Its passages link several routes; the summit climb leads to Spear Pillar.

Spear Pillar

The summit of Mt. Coronet and the site of Team Galactic’s climactic plan.

Distortion World

Platinum’s unusual gravity-shifting area, entered during the Spear Pillar story. Giratina awaits here.

Eterna Forest

A woodland between sections of Route 205; travel with Cheryl during the first crossing.

Old Chateau

Haunted mansion inside Eterna Forest; inspect the television at night for Rotom in Platinum.

Valley Windworks

Story

Power facility east of Floaroma. Clear Team Galactic; return on Friday for Drifloon.

Fuego Ironworks

Optional furnace maze reached by surfing from Route 205.

Wayward Cave

Under Cycling Road. The concealed entrance leads to the basement where Gible can be found in Platinum.

Iron Island

Take the boat from Canalave. Explore with Riley and leave room in your party for his Riolu Egg.

Great Marsh

Pastoria’s Safari-style catching area, with binoculars to help scout its Pokémon.

Solaceon Ruins

East of Solaceon Town; explore the chambers to encounter Unown.

Lost Tower

A tower on Route 209. Platinum’s rewards differ from Diamond and Pearl; Strength is obtained on Iron Island.

On Route 212, with the Trophy Garden and its rotating special encounters later in the game.

Victory Road

The cave challenge before the League. More of it opens after entering the Hall of Fame.

Gym route

Platinum’s badge order is Oreburgh → Eterna → Hearthome → Veilstone → Pastoria → Canalave → Snowpoint → Sunyshore. The story revisits earlier areas, so this is a badge sequence rather than a direct walking route.

Field moves and access

A route on the map may still require a badge, HM or story event. Keep Surf, Strength and Rock Climb access in mind around Mt. Coronet and the late-game routes. Historical event items are not ordinary pickups.
