Pokédex records
Seen and caught are different records. Explore routes at different times and revisit areas after gaining field moves. Trading and version availability matter when expanding the collection beyond a single cartridge.
Underground treasures
Digging in the Underground turns exploration into a fossil and treasure hunt. Keep useful finds rather than selling everything immediately; a fossil is a potential Pokémon as well as a collected object.
TMs and held items
Treat one-use TMs as a limited collection. Store useful held items and compare their effects with your team before spending rare resources. A complete Pokédex and a strong League team are separate goals.
