Biography

Ruto is King Zora’s daughter and a central figure in the Jabu-Jabu episode. Her relationship with Link continues into the adult portion of the game.

Ruto has the fins and aquatic features of a Zora, with a distinctive head shape and regal posture.

Personality

She is proud, outspoken and determined to be taken seriously. Her demanding early behaviour develops into a stronger sense of duty as the story progresses.

Role in the story

Link’s rescue and the Spiritual Stone connect her personal story to the child quest. Later, the condition of Zora’s Domain and the Water Temple bring her back into the main narrative.
