Fairy Slingshot
Inside the Deku Tree. Young Link’s ranged tool activates distant switches and attacks suitable enemies. Carry ammunition before attempting an elevated target sequence.
Boomerang
Inside Jabu-Jabu’s Belly. Stuns or strikes certain targets and retrieves items. Its returning arc behaves differently from a straight projectile, so allow space for the throw.
Hookshot / Longshot
Graveyard / Water Temple. Pulls adult Link to compatible targets; the upgrade increases range. If a target will not respond, check both its surface and your distance.
Fairy Bow
Forest Temple. Provides adult Link with precise ranged attacks. Arrow upgrades can solve special obstacles, but ordinary shots remain useful for switches and vulnerable enemies.
Iron Boots and Zora Tunic
Underwater exploration. The boots sink Link while the tunic supports extended underwater travel. In the N64 edition boots are changed through equipment menus, unlike later interface revisions.
Lens of Truth
Bottom of the Well. Reveals hidden features while consuming magic. Inspect suspicious rooms in short bursts instead of leaving it active during ordinary travel.
Megaton Hammer
Fire Temple. Breaks particular obstacles and operates heavy switches. Revisit marked blocks after obtaining it rather than treating it only as a boss weapon.
Bottles
Recovery and quest containers. Use them for fairies, potions and other contents. Reserve an empty bottle when a quest requires collecting something; a full recovery loadout can otherwise mean a return trip.
