Biography

Goombella studies with Professor Frankly and becomes Mario’s first partner after an early Rogueport encounter. Her knowledge makes her a natural guide to the treasure investigation.

Goombella is a Goomba wearing an explorer’s hat, neck scarf and a ponytail.

Personality

She is curious, assertive and often witty. Her observations give locations and characters a voice beyond the basic quest dialogue.

Role in the story

She accompanies Mario throughout the chapter journey and helps connect discoveries to Frankly’s research. Her Tattle ability makes information itself part of the party’s toolkit.

Gameplay and encounters

Use field Tattle to learn about a place or person and battle Tattle to record enemy information. Her attacks are useful against suitable targets, but spikes and other protections still require thought.
