Meet both playable brothers, Peach, their allies and the two central villains.

The cast
The main playable hero. Run, jump, wall-jump and ground-pound through the Mushroom Kingdom to rescue Peach. Power-ups change his size and abilities.

Bowser Jr. kidnaps Peach while Mario investigates trouble at her castle. Rescuing her is the goal of the single-player adventure; she is not a playable story-mode character.

Toads inhabit the Mushroom Kingdom and appear around the castle. Toad Houses provide useful stops between courses for items and extra lives.

Peach’s longtime attendant appears in Toad Houses. Visit these houses along the world map to stock up before tackling difficult courses.
