Plan room entry, resource use and recovery during the Shadow Moses mission.

Read the next room before moving
Pause at a safe threshold and observe the camera view, patrol route and available cover. Move between protected positions rather than crossing the centre of a room on instinct. If a guard turns unexpectedly, retreat early; recovering from a nearly spotted approach is easier than escaping a full alert.
Use the Codec when an objective changes
Call your support contacts after receiving a new task or encountering an unfamiliar obstacle. Conversations often explain the equipment or location involved. Save regularly through the Codec, especially before a boss or a long sequence, and retain more than one slot when possible.
Recover from alerts before searching
When discovered, break line of sight and relocate. Avoid stopping at the first corner if pursuers can follow your movement directly. Wait for the game’s alert state to settle before returning to collection or navigation; a previously quiet route can be occupied during the search.
Prepare a boss loadout
Check health, rations and ammunition before committing to a boss room. Identify the weapon the encounter is built around and practise aiming it from a safe position. If attacks appear ineffective, look for a vulnerability window or a change of angle rather than using every remaining round.
Adapt inputs to your edition
This guide follows the original game’s systems. Master Collection controls and platform-specific solutions can differ from original PlayStation hardware, especially where an encounter refers to controllers or save data. Use the manual for your platform rather than assuming a physical controller-port instruction applies unchanged.
