Bow
Eastern Palace. A key ranged tool and useful answer to certain enemies. Keep arrows stocked before returning to a dungeon that depends on shooting.
Pegasus Boots
Sahasrahla’s reward. Enable a dash that crosses some obstacles and strikes certain objects. Aim the run before accelerating, especially near ledges.
Magic Mirror
World transition tool. Returns Link from the Dark World to the Light World and enables location puzzles. Think about the corresponding terrain in both worlds.
Moon Pearl
Dark World form protection. Recovered in the Tower of Hera. Without it, reaching the Dark World does not give Link normal access to all his equipment and actions.
Hammer and Hookshot
Dark World dungeon equipment. The Hammer comes from the Palace of Darkness; the Hookshot from Swamp Palace. Mark pegs and grappling crossings separately when planning revisits.
Fire Rod and Ice Rod
Elemental puzzle and combat tools. Both use magic and have different acquisition routes. Carry sufficient magic before a boss or obstacle that specifically requires one of them.
Titan’s Mitt
Heavy lifting. The Thieves’ Town reward expands the rocks Link can lift. Use it to revisit blocked outdoor routes rather than only the next dungeon entrance.
Cane of Somaria
Block creation. Found in Misery Mire, it creates blocks and interacts with special platforms later. Check nearby switches and marked tracks when unsure how to use it.
