What it does
Break it to release items. A thrown barrel can roll across the stage.

Barrel Cannon
What it does
Catches a fighter inside and launches them from its rotating opening. Picture: Melee trophy.

Beam Sword
What it does
A swinging weapon whose blade extends during attacks. Picture: Melee trophy.

Bob-omb
What it does
Throw it for an explosion; left alone, it begins walking before detonating.

Bunny Hood
What it does
Temporarily improves movement speed and jumping.

Capsule
What it does
A small throwable container that releases an item or explodes when broken. Picture: Melee trophy.

Cloaking Device
What it does
Temporarily makes the holder invisible. Attacks can still cause knockback, even while damage is prevented.

Crate
What it does
A heavy container that can release several items when broken.

Fan
What it does
A fast, light striking weapon that is especially effective against shields. Picture: Melee trophy.

Fire Flower
What it does
Sprays flames until its supply is exhausted.

Flipper
What it does
Floats in place after being thrown and knocks away fighters who touch it.

Food
What it does
Restores a small amount of damage; the amount depends on the food. Picture: Melee trophy.

Freezie
What it does
Slides along the ground and traps a struck fighter in ice.

Green Shell
What it does
Slides across the ground after being thrown or hit.

Hammer
What it does
Forces repeated powerful swings for a short time. Its head can sometimes fall off.

Heart Container
What it does
Heals up to 100 percentage points of damage in ordinary battles.

Home-Run Bat
What it does
A forward smash delivers an exceptionally powerful batting strike. Picture: Melee trophy.

Lip's Stick
What it does
Strikes plant a flower on the opponent that gradually adds damage.

Maxim Tomato
What it does
Heals up to 50 percentage points of damage in Melee.

Metal Box
What it does
Temporarily turns the fighter metal, increasing weight and changing their movement.

Motion-Sensor Bomb
What it does
Attaches to a surface and explodes when a fighter approaches. Picture: Melee trophy.

Mr. Saturn
What it does
A throwable creature whose hits do substantial shield damage.

Parasol
What it does
Can be used as a weapon or opened in the air to slow a fall.

Party Ball
What it does
Rises into the air and opens to drop its contents. Picture: Melee trophy.

Poison Mushroom
What it does
Temporarily shrinks a fighter, making them lighter and weaker. Picture: Melee trophy.

Poké Ball
What it does
Releases a Pokémon with its own attack or effect when thrown.

Ray Gun
What it does
Fires a limited number of straight energy shots.

Red Shell
What it does
Slides along the ground and follows nearby fighters.

Screw Attack
What it does
Gives the holder damaging spinning jumps. Throwing it can force an opponent into a spin.

Star Rod
What it does
A striking weapon that launches star projectiles with certain swings.

Super Mushroom
What it does
Temporarily enlarges the fighter, increasing size, weight and power.

Super Scope
What it does
Fires rapid small shots or charged shots using a limited supply of energy.

Super Star
What it does
Grants temporary invincibility. Falling out of the arena still costs a stock.

Warp Star
What it does
Carries the fighter upward before crashing down with an explosive landing.
