POKÉMON EMERALD / COLLECTIBLES

Collectibles and completion

Optional discoveries, useful collections and completion goals in Pokémon Emerald.

Spoiler notice: This guide discusses story progression or late-game content.

Edition covered

Original Game Boy Advance release; not Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire.

01

Pokédex and habitats

Work through land, water and fishing encounters separately, and note which species still need evolution or trading. Emerald does not contain every species obtainable across the wider generation.

02

Berries and TMs

Plant and replenish useful berries instead of using your last specimen. TMs in this generation are normally consumed when taught; decide who should learn a move before using a rare copy.

03

Frontier Symbols

The Battle Frontier offers facility-specific challenges and Symbols. These are in-game accomplishments, separate from a platform achievement system. Build a reliable team before treating them as a completion checklist.

FIELD NOTE

Use the edition note above when comparing a checklist with another release. Story completion, collecting and platform achievements are separate goals.
