Black 2 and White 2 story route

A sequel-specific badge sequence from Aspertia City to Champion Iris.

Spoiler notice: This guide discusses story progression or late-game content.

01

Aspertia and Virbank

Start with Cheren’s Normal Gym, then move toward Virbank and Roxie’s Poison Gym. Pokéstar Studios and the surrounding story events form part of this opening stretch. These cities are not the opening route of the original Black and White, so use sequel-specific encounter and travel information.

02

Castelia to Driftveil

Burgh, Elesa and Clay cover the next sequence of badges. Castelia’s sewers are involved in the story, and Driftveil introduces the Pokémon World Tournament. Complete the required tournament and Plasma events before assuming every onward route has opened.

03

Mistralton and eastern Unova

After Skyla, the journey shifts toward locations involved in the sequel’s eastern storyline. Drayden is the Opelucid Gym Leader in both versions. Team Plasma’s actions alter the route; follow the current objective rather than using original-game city access as a shortcut.

04

Humilau and the final Plasma arc

Marlon supplies the final badge in Humilau. The Plasma Frigate and Giant Chasm storyline still need attention before the League route is complete. Bring a varied team and recovery items to these longer sequences, then restock before Victory Road.

05

Prepare for Iris

Iris is the Champion, replacing the original games’ Champion situation. Her party is not restricted to Dragon types, so a single Ice attacker is not a complete answer. Normal, Easy and Challenge modes can change trainer details; use the roster for the mode actually active in your save.

FIELD NOTE

Check the edition note above before following a route. Suggested preparation and tactics are editorial recommendations; alternative teams and routes can also work.
