How to read the statistics

The numbers reproduce the source wiki’s comparative scale; speed values are not km/h. Speed describes maximum pace, acceleration describes recovery to that pace, weight affects collisions, handling describes ordinary steering, and drift describes cornering while drifting. The item stat also affects Time Trial Mushroom allocation. The Total column is the source’s sum, not an overall performance ranking.

Progression and kart sharing

Drivers initially have a standard and a distinctive kart. Further progress unlocks a third choice and eventually allows regular drivers to use the full set of 36. Shy Guy’s Standard SG is separate and exclusive to Download Play.
