Read the turn list
The Conditional Turn-based Battle system advances when commands are executed. The CTB display shows upcoming allied and enemy turns, and actions can change that order.
Bring in another character
On a character’s turn, you can switch in an available reserve party member. The incoming character can act immediately.
Use a simple decision routine
Our suggested approach: check who moves next, identify the immediate threat, then choose an action. If a fight goes badly, note whether the problem was damage, recovery or your choice of target before trying again.
This is Final Fantasy X’s battle system. Final Fantasy X-2 uses a different system, despite being bundled with it in HD releases.
