Guide
Recipe help. Show him a material to inspect its crafting uses. This is the first stop for unfamiliar drops and helps avoid selling components needed for future equipment.
Merchant
Basic supplies. Requires suitable housing and the relevant money condition. Keep spare valid houses ready so meeting a recruitment condition can actually bring a resident.
Nurse
Paid recovery. Heals and removes many debuffs for a fee. Keep her accessible, but do not design every fight around reaching her while the arena is overwhelmed.
Dryad
World-status and nature services. Arrives after qualifying boss progress. Her information and stock support world management, though she does not automatically prevent evil-biome spread.
Goblin Tinkerer
Reforging and accessory crafting. Rescue the bound goblin underground after defeating the Goblin Army. Reforging can be expensive and rerolls modifiers, so set a spending limit before chasing perfection.
Mechanic
Wiring equipment. Rescued in the Dungeon, she supports switches, wires and mechanisms. Build and test a small circuit before connecting traps near your base.
Angler
Fishing quests. Found sleeping at an Ocean. His quests add optional fishing rewards; keep the requested fish and conditions separate from ordinary fishing income.
Wizard
Hardmode magic supplies. Found bound underground in Hardmode. Prepare an open house and a safe return route when exploration brings you to him.
Housing and pylons
Town infrastructure. Valid housing, biome and resident conditions matter. Pylon sales and happiness rules can change between versions; consult the linked current reference for exact conditions.
