Armour sets
Class bonuses and set effects. Read the full set bonus as well as defence. A matched set that supports your weapon class can be more useful than unrelated pieces with individually larger numbers.
Accessories
Movement, damage and survival. Equip functional accessories in active slots; social slots are for appearance. Slot availability varies with difficulty and progression, so avoid copying a loadout with more slots than you have.
Grappling hooks
Positioning and recovery. Provide a separate movement tool from jumping or flight. Practise releasing and redirecting before relying on a hook to escape a boss attack.
Boots and wings
Ground speed and aerial movement. Different upgrades solve different problems. Check flight duration, fall protection and compatibility instead of treating all mobility accessories as equivalent.
Workbench, furnace and anvil
Early crafting chain. Stations unlock different recipes when you stand nearby. Possessing the ingredients is insufficient if the required station is absent.
Tinkerer’s Workshop
Combining accessories. Combines eligible components into upgraded accessories. Check the recipe and preserve needed components rather than selling duplicates automatically.
Hardmode stations
Later crafting access. New ores and recipes require appropriate anvils or forges. Consult the Guide before assuming a missing recipe is a drop-rate problem.
Modifiers and reforging
Stat adjustments. The Goblin Tinkerer rerolls eligible item modifiers. Improve the base equipment first; repeatedly reforging an item you will immediately replace is an avoidable money sink.
Potions, food and ammunition
Consumable preparation. Buffs and ammunition complement equipment. Refill after each attempt and check what is actually carried before summoning the next boss.
