Biography
Created by Professor E. Gadd, F.L.U.D.D. becomes Mario’s companion and the central tool for cleaning Isle Delfino. Its advice and abilities shape both the story and platforming.
Appearance
F.L.U.D.D. is a mechanical backpack with a nozzle-like head and interchangeable attachments.
Personality
It is analytical, helpful and increasingly loyal, speaking in a matter-of-fact style. The partnership develops beyond a purely disposable equipment role.
Role in the story
The investigation into the island’s pollution gives the pack an immediate purpose. Secret stages temporarily remove it, highlighting how much the normal movement style depends on its assistance.
