Metroid Prime: Suits

The four main suit stages in the original game. The unlockable Fusion Suit appearance is a bonus costume, not a fifth progression upgrade.

Contains late-game location and upgrade spoilers.

Basic armour

Power Suit

Samus’s basic suit after the frigate escape. It does not protect her from extreme heat.

Heat protection

Varia Suit

Restores protection against heated environments, opening the way through Magmoor Caverns. Earned after Flaahgra.

Underwater movement

Gravity Suit

Removes the movement restrictions of water and improves underwater visibility.

Phazon protection

Phazon Suit

Gained after the Omega Pirate battle. Protects against blue Phazon; orange Phazon remains hazardous.
