Solid Snake
Tanker protagonist. His opening mission introduces systems used later. Use this chapter to practise aiming, cover and guard observation before the larger Plant route.
Raiden
Plant protagonist. His mission builds on the same stealth foundation with additional objectives. Read current briefings rather than assuming every task repeats the Tanker.
Otacon
Technical and Tanker support. Provides mission assistance and save support during the Tanker chapter. Follow photography instructions carefully when the objective is evidence rather than combat.
Colonel and Rose
Plant Codec support. The Colonel handles mission direction; Rose supports saving. Keep multiple saves when possible before long story sequences.
Peter Stillman
Bomb-disposal specialist. His briefing explains the disposal tools. Learn the sensor and coolant procedure before attempting the strut circuit under pressure.
Emma Emmerich
Technical specialist. Her later involvement changes the mission’s immediate priorities. Escort and protection objectives require different pacing from solitary infiltration.
Olga Gurlukovich
Key Tanker figure. Her early confrontation introduces a distinct arena. Study cover and visibility rather than approaching the encounter as a normal patrol takedown.
Fortune, Fatman and Vamp
Dead Cell members. Their encounters have specific rules and objectives. Listen to support calls when normal attacks are ineffective or a timer changes the priority.
Ocelot and Solidus Snake
Major story figures. Their roles connect the wider conflict. This directory leaves detailed revelations to the story rather than presenting every identity twist upfront.
