Sora
Keyblade wielder. Your equipment, abilities and shortcuts determine how he plays. Equip learned abilities explicitly; acquiring one does not guarantee it is active within the available AP.
Donald
Magic companion. Provides offensive magic and healing support. Adjust his behaviour and item access to suit the encounter instead of expecting unlimited emergency healing.
Goofy
Shield companion. Offers physical support and defensive utility. Keep his equipment and abilities current rather than upgrading only Sora throughout the story.
Roxas
Opening playable character. The prologue introduces movement and combat before the main journey. Its structure is story-driven; do not expect immediate access to every later party system.
King Mickey
Important ally. His appearances connect several worlds and major events. Certain encounters can include special assistance, but it should not replace learning the boss’s patterns.
World-specific allies
Local party members. Characters such as Auron, Beast and Jack Sparrow join in their worlds. Check their abilities and available Limits when the party changes.
Riku and Kairi
Central personal connections. Their story connects Sora’s search across worlds. Late-game appearances and party arrangements are spoilers, so consult the progression guide when you are ready.
Organization XIII
Recurring antagonists. Individual members have distinct fight mechanics. Read reaction-command opportunities and special encounter rules rather than treating them as stronger ordinary enemies.
