Develop the farm beyond crops while keeping upgrade requirements and daily care clear.

Train tools before paying for upgrades
Using tools builds experience toward stronger upgrades. Check the tool’s experience, obtain the appropriate ore and bring funds to Saibara. Upgrading removes the tool from your inventory for a while, so schedule work on the watering can around rain or a period when your crops will not be neglected.
Mine with a return plan
Take recovery supplies and leave enough time to finish the day. Ore for ordinary upgrades and valuable gems serve different purposes. Keep the material you need instead of selling every find automatically. Later mining goals can require much deeper exploration than an early upgrade trip.
Keep animal care ahead of expansion
Buy livestock only when you can supply feed and daily attention. Speak to and care for animals, and keep them sheltered when conditions require it. A larger herd increases routine work; add animals gradually rather than creating a daily workload that prevents you from caring for them properly.
Build friendships through consistency
Visit people when their schedules allow and learn their individual preferences. A favourite gift is useful, but gifts do not replace event conditions. Check the day, time, weather and relationship stage when a heart event does not appear. Do not use the remake’s expanded event list for this GBA version.
Prepare the ordinary marriage requirements
For the standard marriage candidates, raise the relationship, see the four heart events, improve the house and obtain the Big Bed before proposing with the Blue Feather. Special candidates have additional requirements. Use the original-game marriage reference for those exceptions rather than assuming the ordinary checklist covers everyone.
