More breeds can be unlocked as you progress. These are the starting choices, not the complete unlockable roster.

Nintendogs DS: Miniature Dachshund

A starting breed with a long body and short legs. Choose a puppy’s coat and personality at the kennel.

A floppy-eared starting breed. Training, care and practice help build your bond.

A small, short-haired starting breed with a curled tail.

A starting breed with a thick coat. Keep grooming supplies on hand.

Nintendogs DS: Shih Tzu

Shih Tzu

A long-haired starting breed. Use coat-appropriate shampoo and a brush.
