THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: THE WIND WAKER / COLLECTIBLES

Collectibles and completion

Optional discoveries, useful collections and completion goals in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

Spoiler notice: This guide discusses story progression or late-game content.

Edition covered

Original GameCube release; HD sailing and Triforce-quest changes are outside this guide.

01

Charts and sea treasure

Keep treasure charts distinct from the sea chart. A chart points toward a salvage opportunity, but you still need to reach the correct place and use the Grappling Hook.

02

Hearts and bottles

Mark completed island rewards on a personal checklist. Similar-looking islands are easier to track by their chart position than by memory alone.

03

Triforce hunt

Follow the GameCube edition’s chart-and-shard requirements. The HD release changes this hunt, so a mixed-edition checklist can send you looking for the wrong task.

FIELD NOTE

Use the edition note above when comparing a checklist with another release. Story completion, collecting and platform achievements are separate goals.
