Aryll
Link’s sister. Her situation begins the voyage beyond Outset Island. The opening rescue goal eventually expands into a much wider sea journey.
Tetra
Pirate captain. Her crew helps connect early destinations and story events. Speak with the relevant crew member when the ship becomes the current objective.
King of Red Lions
Boat and travelling companion. Provides guidance at sea. In the original GameCube release, sailing plans depend more heavily on wind direction than an HD Swift Sail route.
Medli
Rito ally. Her later partnership has specific dungeon uses. Position both characters carefully when solving cooperative light and movement puzzles.
Makar
Korok ally. His abilities matter during a later dungeon. Think about which character can reach a location before repeatedly attempting the same route with Link.
Tingle
Chart specialist. In the GameCube version he deciphers Triforce Charts for a fee. Budget rupees and wallet capacity rather than reaching the chart phase with no savings.
Beedle and Fishmen
Shopping and chart information. Beedle supplies useful goods; Fishmen help document sea squares when given bait. A regular supply-and-map routine makes return trips more efficient.
