Deku Mask
Flower-based movement. Deku Link launches from compatible flowers and uses a different attack set. Plan a landing before leaving a flower, especially over poison or a long drop.
Goron Mask
Rolling and heavy actions. Goron Link can build speed and perform heavy moves. Magic-powered rolling needs resources and room to steer; practise before narrow ramps.
Zora Mask
Swimming and aquatic combat. Zora Link explores water and uses fin attacks. N64 swimming differs from the 3DS remake, so use instructions matching your edition.
Hero’s Bow and elemental arrows
Temple puzzle tools. The bow comes from Woodfall, with Fire, Ice and Light Arrows obtained later. Elemental shots consume magic as well as arrows; refill before a long puzzle sequence.
Hookshot
Great Bay exploration. Retrieved during the Pirate Fortress route, it reaches compatible surfaces and supports coastal exploration. It does not attach to every wall.
Lens of Truth
Hidden features and spirits. Useful during the mountain route and beyond. Keep magic available before following a path that depends on revealing otherwise invisible information.
Gilded Sword
Persistent sword upgrade. The Mountain Smithy sequence involves the Razor Sword and Gold Dust. Plan the multi-day process early in a cycle; the Razor Sword alone is not the permanent finish.
Bunny Hood
Faster land travel. A useful optional mask for timed errands and long runs. It improves movement rather than replacing the transformation masks needed for regional obstacles.
