Tatl
Fairy companion. Provides targeting hints and reacts to places of interest. Use these prompts alongside the notebook when deciding whether a location deserves a return visit.
Skull Kid
Central masked figure. His actions threaten Termina and establish the time limit. Story progress and permanent equipment survive resets differently from local events and consumables.
Happy Mask Salesman
Opening quest contact. His instructions explain the relationship between Link’s transformation, masks and the central mission. Revisit the opening objectives before beginning wider exploration.
Anju and Kafei
Linked notebook quest. Their long side quest depends on several timed meetings. Reserve a cycle for it and track appointments instead of mixing it with a first temple attempt.
Romani and Cremia
Ranch residents. Their events involve specific times and access conditions. Prepare the route to the ranch before the appointment, rather than arriving after its window closes.
Darmani and Mikau
Transformation-mask stories. Their regional stories explain two of Link’s forms. The abilities they unlock open exploration routes as well as combat options.
Great Fairies
Regional restoration rewards. Bring each temple’s full stray-fairy set to the matching fountain before resetting. A completed temple and a claimed fairy reward are separate milestones.
